Guitars Over Guns’ Ayiti Showcase
We’re grateful to have hosted
Guitars Over Guns’
Ayiti Showcase
for Haitian Flag Day 🇭🇹
Thank you to the community members that joined us to celebrate this special night, and to the artists that shared their soul with us on stage – Inez Barlatier, Man of Many Talents, the GoGo alumni and Unistiq, and others 🎤🎶
While is the second annual showcase done in partnership between Green Family Foundation & Guitars Over Guns, it is the first in-person celebration. To have the space full of community leaders, creatives, and advocates in recognition of Haitian Heritage Month is exemplary of what we can do together.
“Green Family Foundation is committed to our community through our strategic partnerships and support for community-based initiatives,” said Dr. Kimberly Green, President of Green Family Foundation. “Green Space Miami focuses on the importance of centering the voices and lived experiences of all Miami’s citizens. We celebrate their accomplishments and joy, and create a safe space for addressing the issues facing our community today. Miami’s history resides in its people, not in its structures.”
It’s truly an honor for Green Space Miami to work with local organizations & artists to bring about celebration and education in joyous spaces. We want to ensure that what happens within our walls is a reflection of the communities beyond our building, across Miami-Dade County.
