Words With Wings

An artist chat, presentation, workshop and reception celebrating Words with Wings, a collaborative spoken word poetry, music and ambient noise album with over a dozen contributors. Led by Cassandra Mayer, Words with Wings seeks to dive deeply into the cognitive dissonance of accepting moments of happiness in the twenty-first century. This project will incorporate spoken word poetry with accompanying music to articulate the challenges and triumphs of finding joy while sustaining hope when the world feels so often as though it’s crumbling, so cruel and unkind.
