Literary Panel Discussion with ProjectArt

Calling all Miami Bibliophiles, Poets, Book Nerds, Novelists, and Library Patrons!
Join us for a panel that brings together leaders from Miami’s literary community, including representatives from FIU Library, O, Miami, Bookleggers Library, Books for Free, Miami-Dade Public Libraries, and the Miami Book Fair, for a conversation on the state of the city’s literary scene and youth literacy.
Panelists will share their organizations’ missions and current initiatives, reflect on how the landscape has evolved, and discuss pressing issues such as book bans and access to literature.
The discussion, moderated by ProjectArt alumni and journalist, Isabella Marie García, is presented in connection with ProjectArt’s exhibition, Told and Retold: The Pedagogy of Knowing and Becoming, which highlights youth creativity, community engagement, and the library as a space for inspiration and artistic development.
