Beyond the Barrel: Rum’s Influence on Caribbean History and Tradition

July 26, 2025 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Rum has been crafted in the Caribbean for centuries, influencing local economies, traditions, and culture. With its diverse production methods and flavors, rum reflects the Caribbean’s unique cultural practices — each island contributing its own twist to the traditions surrounding this spirit. The panel will feature rum producers, distillers, and advocates, who will discuss how rum production sustains economies, fosters cultural pride, and strengthens community bonds. This discussion aims to reveal how rum continues to inspire creativity and unify communities across the Caribbean.
