A conversation with Dave Fils-Aimé, founder and executive director of Baskètbòl pou Ankadre Lajenès(BAL), one of Haiti’s premier youth development organizations.Founded in July 2013, BAL leverages basketball to mentor and educate youth from some of Port-au-Prince’s most challenging neighborhoods, including Martissant, Cité Soleil, Croix-des-Bouquets, Downtown, and Bel-Air.

A Yale and Harvard graduate, Dave returned to Haiti in 2020 to focus on BAL. Join us to hear his first-hand account of the current situation in Haiti and learn about BAL’s efforts to keep vulnerable youth out of gangs
