Environmental Futures II: WOPHA Artists In Residence (2020-2022) brings together visual artists Amanda Bradley, Adama Delphine Fawundu, and Nadia Huggins. Curated by WOPHA Founder & Director Aldeide Delgado, the exhibition includes a special intervention by guest artist Nathalie Alfonso connecting old and new works from diasporic identities through ideas of belonging, identity, and landscape. The WOPHA Artist in Residence program originated in 2020 as part of the organization’s vision to be a meeting place for the international community of women in the photographic arts. Environmental Futures II: WOPHA Artists In Residence (2020-2022) presents three years of collaborative work, in partnership with prominent cultural institutions in Miami, to provide artists with a room of one’s own for creativity and self-care, while highlighting the diverse artistic production of the African diaspora, including the Caribbean, Latin American, and Latinx communities.

ABOUT WOPHA
Women Photographers International Archive (WOPHA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded, by Cuban-born, Latinx art historian and curator Aldeide Delgado, to research, promote, support, and educate on the role of those who identify as women and non-binary in photography. Having begun as a dynamic database showcasing the unique stories of women-identified Cuban photographers, WOPHA has expanded its geographic scope to include photographers around the globe. The organization is currently documenting the diverse artistic production of Latin American and Latinx communities, including photographers from Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and artists of Latin American descent living and working in the United States
